Vincenzo Fiore Marrese

Painting

I use painting for two reasons: political and social.

Painting is a well-developed language that speaking for centuries. Through this language, artists can bridge the gap between art and the general public, aiming to drive the audience to contemporary art.

We live in an information society, and information is often images. Painting is an unordinary kind of image. It has a relation to art history and a special connection between the body and time during the creative process. In that sense, entering unordinary kinds of images in the information flux appears relevant.
