“Womb” is a device for experiencing an empathic connection between the body and the image.
The body leaves a trace, the signs condense and form an image. What is the nature of the image? how is it that images are able to illustrate?
“Womb” is a deviation of the work that I developed with “Across the body”, a disorientation that brought me back to the fetish that I tend to eliminate in the action of drawing, the drawing, in fact. In the drawing there is something indecipherable that tells us about the nature of the image and is linked to the body. In this case, the body fragments, crushes and draws the material onto the paper to experience the intimate connection that binds it with the becoming of the image, its formation in the act of tracing. The act of tracing is configured as an action that marks the boundaries on the visual surface, the delimitation. The delimitation, in the process of experiencing the image, is added to the condensation and fragmentation that I have faced in other works as in “Band Together”.
