Ah, Deridda! LOL

Abstract

While opening my art studio for visitors, I accidentally left some notes about a scholar. A visitor looked at the notes and exclaimed ironically, “Ah”, and the scholar’s name. The text in this work is a chat with an Artificial Intelligence. In a sense, it reminds me of the scholar’s ideas about language. So, I titled this work using the exclamation and the chat slang LOL (Laughing Out Loud). The chat is about the word “kind”. In German, “Kind” means “child”, and in English, it can mean “type”. I found this two-fold meaning valuable for my research. I’m studying how society sorts people by age. I drew the text on FAX paper.
