Fourth Road

Abstract

The “Fourth Road” research proposes an exploration of collaborative creativity that engages local individuals, artificial intelligence, and the artist in a shared artistic journey. Through a three-step process, the research aims to co-create meaningful and inclusive artworks symbolized as the “Fourth Road.”

In the first phase, I invite community members to contribute with objects from their daily lives that bring personal meaning to the research. These objects serve as catalysts for emotional expression by artificial intelligence in the next step. I then create artworks transforming these objects with various materials, accentuating their inherent meanings while drawing inspiration from the artificial intelligence’s responses.

Central to the research is an emphasis on balanced inclusivity and diversity within the participant group, curated in collaboration with local host organizations. Iterative feedback loops involving the community and the artist refine the artworks, blending depth-meanings and visual appeal.
